The Death of the Matrix Franchise

💥We all know quite a few movies that no one really believed in. The kind that barely made it to the big screen, scraping their way through production hell - and only managed to win people over after the first trailers dropped, or sometimes not until the film actually hit theaters. The Matrix was one of those movies. Back in the ’90s, it went through a whole parade of rejections. Nobody wanted to have anything to do with it. The fact that it even got made and released was nothing short of a small miracle. That miracle later gave birth to an entire franchise - with animated projects, video games, and comic books. Some of them even became pretty popular. And just recently, we got a sequel called Resurrections. But instead of reviving interest in The Matrix, it pretty much buried it for good. So today, let’s take a look back at the rise - and fall - of this iconic franchise.
